Marshall university is the most underrated football team of all. They are currently 10-0 this year, which is the exact same record as #2 Florida state. Also this year they have scored 40+ points in every game except against Florida alt. were they scored 35 points, the most points they have allowed any team to score was less then 30 points. Last week they beat Rice 41-14 and the week before that they beat Southern Mississippi 63-17. They are 118-19 for home games, which is the number 1 winning percentage in the nation. They average about 273.2 passing yards per game (#32 in the nation), 294 yards per game (#7 in the nation), score an average of 47.1 points per game (#2 in the nation), and allow an average of 16.3 points per game (#5 in the nation). All of these impressive stats and yet they are only ranked #18 in the nation, and last week they weren't even ranked at all. They even the #1 team Alabama in stats on everything except for points allowed were Alabama averages 14.5 points per game (#2 in the nation). If you ask me personally though I think that the people in charge of the rankings need to stop favoring teams like Alabama, Auburn, and Mississippi State just because they are in the SEC. Also if I was the head coach of the Marshall football team I would be trying so hard to schedule a game against teams like Ohio State, TCU, and Baylor because I know that Marshall could beat them plus it get the attention of the people in charge of the rankings to make them think that maybe Marshall should be ranked anywhere from #1-#4 where they rightly belong.
So I am sitting in class with pencil that I feel is too sharp, and I don’t know if this happens to other people that they sometimes feel that a pencil is too sharp (weird to think because I put it into a pencil sharpener to make it sharp) but it bugs me because I have accidentally stabbed myself with a pencil too many times(one time my pencil slipped and made a cut that went all the way down my pointer finger), so I never carry a really sharp pencil. So here I am in class with this pencil thats way too sharp for me, so when I was told that we going to be writing it was exactly what I wanted/needed. So with pencil in hand I find out that we are supposed to write about is whatever is on our head at the time, and I draw a blank, I don’t know what to write about. Time started to pass by and my pencil was still just as sharp as it was in the beginning. Then I came up with the idea “ I am going to write about why I need to write”. I writing about that the only reason I was writing was to unsharpen my pencil and as I wrote what I thought was going to be the concluding sentence, I realized my pencil was still to sharp. So I wrote random stuff until my pencil was good enough but it was in the middle of a sentence and how weird would it be to stop in the middle of |
